EcoVéa – The Intelligent ecological shower which cuts water consumption by 66%

A startup called Reveeco has developed a technology which can cut water consumption during showers on average 66%.

The system continuously analyzes the water flowing out of the shower to see if the water contains waste. If the water has considerable contaminants, like soap, shampoo or dirt, it is drained away. If it doesn’t – like the water which flows during relaxation phases – the water is taken to another channel, filtered, cleaned of bacteria with anti bacteria filter and then immediately reused. The system also keeps the temperature of the water during the reuse process.

The company claims that it can save almost 100,000 litres of water and 3,500 kWh of electricity annually.
